The Nurseries, Milton Street, Fairford Gloucestershire GL7 4BW
You can be sure of a warm welcome to the Nurseries bed and breakfast by its owner Anne Smith.
The Nurseries is a family home and in a previous life was a flower and vegetable shop and before that a bakery. It has been the home of three families of ‘Smiths’ over the years, all unrelated!
The Nurseries was built in the 1700’s and has solid stone walls approximately 600mm thick and is a three-bedroomed semi-detached house, with a conservatory built on in approximately 1970. The garden and other two houses in the cul-de-sac were originally the orchard and growing land which supplied produce for the shop.
All British and local products are used in preparing home cooked breakfasts, including homemade compote with fruit grown in the garden along with homemade marmalade. All served in the breakfast room or in the garden weather permitting.
You are very welcome to relax in the conservatory or the garden whenever you wish. TV and a drinks tray are supplied in your room.
There are very few house rules but you are asked to respect the fact it is a ‘No Smoking’ house, with no pets and that family rooms are private. Parking is limited and therefore you are asked to be thoughtful to other guests and neighbours.
Please note due to being such a small establishment credit cards are not accepted, so payment can be made by a cash, cheque or BACS. There is a cash point in the local Londis supermarket if necessary.
